Signals (signals.pub) is written for people who work in mining, energy, finance, infrastructure and technology. Readers told us the Signals had become too long to read on the go. From November, we are changing the format so each edition is faster to read and more useful to act on.
Shorter free posts: Each Signal post now runs about 900 words, a four-minute read: a three-sentence top line, the heat map, three short takes on what each development means for business, the movers, and four dated things to watch.
A richer subscriber PDF. Depth moves to the PDF: an executive summary, three fuller deep dives, implications by type of actor (investors, lenders, operators, governments), an exposure table, scenarios with rough probabilities, and a data annex of dated figures.
One subscription, four sections.

Bankability Brief (new)
The Bankability Brief. In addition to extended Signal PDFs, paid subscribers will have access a 500-word, feasibility-style report on one large project still open to outside investors, lenders and/or contractors. Each brief shows where the project is, how the money works, the critical path, who gains and who is exposed, a six-factor bankability score, and what to watch next. The first issue will be free for everyone and come out in a few days. The free sample will be on Tanzania LNG, the $42 billion Equinor and Shell export project in Lindi.
Every edition stands on its own. Nothing changes in our sourcing: every figure is dated and sourced. Subscribe at signals.pub.
